Here I have listed one of several German WWII K98 Mauser takeoff stocks, the other of which you may find in my other listings. Please read the description and review the pictures thoroughly; I have tried to capture all of the key points for you to help ensure that you know exactly what you are going to receive. The specific details are derived from my best beliefs about them but you should do your own research to ensure that they are in fact correct and satisfactory for your application, as I make no claims or am qualified to judge or give absolute guarantee of authenticity or accuracy of information regarding these antiques. Shipping will be to continental lower 48 USA only. Feel free to message with any questions about them. Shipping is usually rather quick on my end; if these sell via auction format on Sunday evening 5/26 they will likely be in the mail Monday morning 5/27 if payment complete. If you have a problem with any of these items please contact me before leaving feedback and I will assure you a satisfactory and prompt resolution to your issue.

This one I believe was once a Norwegian capture that has since been refinished. It is a red glue cupped butt laminate version. There is no hardware on this one beyond the recoil lug, takedown disc cleaning rod stud (for 12” rod). No major cracks or damage, not delaminating anywhere that I can tell however it has been pinned in an area with a small wooden dowel - see photos. There is a faint WaA which I believe is WaA135 on the butt with no Heer or branch of service stamp. There is a smeared ink stamped ‘2’ within the barrel channel, and a stamped ‘2’ on the bottom fore end of the stock. The date and blank supplier info in the under-butt-plate area is Ha 2-42-42. These findings make me think that this came originally from a Mauser Oberndorf byf 42 rifle. It does come with a non-matching hand guard.

It seems that those stocks are usually a bit huskier than this in an original condition and so I tend to think it has been sanded a good bit; there is butt plate overhang if you place a butt plate onto it, mostly towards the top of the butt plate. I am starting this one out low for an as-is sale. It has a nice general appearance.
