Antique Victorian white work lace tea gown high collar and pigeon front bodice
From 1890’s 1900
The details on this dress are stunning
It’s is a classic Gibson girl style with high collar hour glass silhouette and pigeon from bodice. Their are circular lace panels in front and many tiny tucks, and lace. The hem has rows of flounces. Button up back with tiny mother of Pearl buttons. Note:my dress form is too small to close it up all the way.
It is in very good wearable condition to be over 100 yrs old. Only a few tiny holes and small tear under arm (see photos)
This beautiful gown was owned by Kingsbury Family who lived in Wellesley, Massachusetts in the 1800’s and early 1900’ it belonged to Caroline Loraine Kingsbury born 11/27/1834, married Samuel Flagg 12/25/1855, died 2/9/1938.  After her death the clothes were packed away (1939) into the dowery (sic) chest of Caroline Kingsbury Flagg and saved by the next generations.
So cool to have the back ground of the clothing!
