This wonderful old cup and saucer set depicts ladies and gentlemen at Old (or Little) Moreton Hall in Cheshire, northern England.  Now a member of Britain's National Trust, the Hall is a moated, half timbered tudor manor house with "wonky angles and quirky character". (National trust.org.uk). Building it began in 1504 and was completed in about 1610. Enjoying your (English!) tea out of this very special cup, you can imagine yourself wandering about the hall and reveling in its quirky wonkiness!
