Up for auction today we have a beautiful example of what most would call a cocktail ring. The design appears to be a looped around ribbon. Very attractive! The ring is 925 Sterling Silver with two different color stones, what appears to be Fire Opal and a Clear stone which could be a number of different stones but I'm not certain of the name.
The ring is marked 925 SG CHINA.
Ring size measures 9 Ring weight is 5.34 grams
I am no expert when it comes to listing jewelry. I'm uncertain of the type of stones and their quality. But I can tell you what looks nice and describe the merchandise to the best of my ability. So I can tell you now " let buyer beware" and purchase with that information in mind. If I undersell something because I'm not totally aware of it's true value, that's my bad and you end up with a great deal. Just selling these inherited rings and other jewelry to help a friend settle an estate.
What does SG 925 China mean when stamped on my jewelry
It means that the metal used is of a specific quality. Pure silver is never used, as it is too soft to be practical. All of our silver jewellery is created by Sea Gems Ltd and stamped 925 indicating the quality as "sterling silver" along with the SG hallmark.
