- Each piece is tank tested, we check to see if piece sinks on its own after the slate is attached. If piece doesn't sink we check to see how much gravel/substrate will be needed to keep piece submerged. (Find another vendor that goes the extra step in doing this). We just don't slap a piece of slate on piece without checking to see if the item sinks. This information is located in the description below.

Located in Northern Middle Tennessee, every piece of driftwood is selected for its individuality and aesthetics. Unsurpassed, each piece is a testament to the beauty of nature. Over time, the forces of nature have washed, bleached, and shaped our driftwood creating very dramatic and completely unique shapes.
Each piece of our driftwood has been thoroughly cleaned to ensure the utmost beauty. We first pressure wash and brush each piece thoroughly to remove any dirt or debris. We do not use any soap or chemicals during the cleaning process. Most if not all of our driftwood has been under water for long period of time, months to possible years. This helps on the leaching of the driftwood. Some might not leach at all. Driftwood has been dried for shipping purposes. Driftwood is safe for aquarium use.
