This is a late 19th century unmarked Buckbee, the Double Bubble style of peghead.

It’s 35 in. long & and has a 10 7/8 in. head.

These were very common before the 20th century.

The hoop is thin, about 5/16s in. with a depth of 2 1/4in. It’s solid, not multi-ply. The neck looks like it’s Walnut.

This is a Project banjo or Parts banjo. Most of it is here.

The matching 38 j-hooks &nuts, as well as brackets. The frets, although 1 is loose. The tension ring & a bonus fitted flesh hoop. An un-slotted ebony nut & incomplete ebony “floating” tailpiece.

The head on it is obviously busted, but displays the hardware. There’s a bent in the side of the neck near the 9th fret (pictured).

I have a 5th string railroad tie-like spike I can send with it for capoing at the 7th fret.

Look at the pictures & judge its condition.

Enjoy the restoration.

Thanks for looking.
