You are bidding on a large, very rare original antique engraving from an 1870s French illustrated journal.

It depicts four witches or sorcerers leaving the woods. The caption translates to The Sorcerers of Marquis

Also included with the print is a second page from the same journal with an 8-inch article. The article starts on the second page and ends on the back of the print. It is in French, but free computer translation programs make it easy to translate.

The print is very large (folio size), measuring approximately 10.5 x 14.5 inches (26.5 x 36.5 cm). The picture measures about 8.5 x 5.5 inches (21.5 x 14 cm), with a French caption below.

The print is in excellent condition for its age. A soft fold line through the middle of the page is detectible, probably from where a large stack of prints may have been folded long ago. There is text/photos on the back of the print. See scan for an accurate view of the condition.
