Dog Palm Pad - Blue & Black. Pins. Removes Loose Hair. For Long / Silky / Curly / Wiry Coats.

Some pets love it and others loathe it but grooming your pet is vital to helping them to remain both healthy and clean. It is also an exceptionally good bonding activity. To aid this a long lasting, safe and sturdy palm pad is essential. With this pad your pet can enjoy/tolerate hours of quality grooming.

Ancol's dog palm pad has been designed to remove loose hairs whilst detangling their coat. The palm pad has metal pins which are rounded to minimise discomfort on your pets skin. The pad is ergonomic to aid grip, comfort and flexibility for the groomer using the adjustable hand strap.

The dog palm pad ensures a gentle grooming session and can be used on long, silky, curly and wiry coats.

The manufacturer recommends the following instructions for use:

To use, affix the pad to your palm securely, ensuring the pins point upwards from your palm. Using a natural, stroking motion, gently brush the hair in the direction of the fur growth. The pins are rounded for comfort and will pull loose hairs from the coat and undercoat. To ensure your dog has an enjoyable grooming session, do not push the pins into the dog's skin. Gently tease out tangles with the brush. Do not pull or tug on matted fur; this may require cutting. Pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes agitated.

Grooming tips: Grooming is a wonderful way to bond with your dog, but dogs that are to grooming should be introduced to it slowly. Begin grooming sessions when your dog is relaxed, if possible, after they have exercised. Use tools gently and avoid tugging on the skin or on knots or mats. Give your dog plenty of reassurance throughout the grooming session. Pause or end the grooming session if your dog becomes agitated or shows signs of stress. Keep grooming sessions brief to begin with, and increase the length of the sessions as your dog becomes used to grooming.
