 1950 Gillette Aristocrat Refurbished Re-Plated Mirror nickel. The TTO knob works as it should and the doors open smoothly and close tightly. 

 Some consider this the Gold Standard of DE shavers. These razors are well built and give wonderful shaves. The size and weight of these razors provide great balance and makes shaving a pleasure. This great-looking Aristocrat has a Very Small amount of pitting which will in no way affect the mechanics of this razor or your shave (please see the pictures).

HISTORY: Spanning approximately 70 years, the Aristocrat name was the longest running of the Gillette line of DE razors and, in my opinion, was their Flagship razor. True, more upscale and pricier sets were made, but only for short periods of time, while the Aristocrat enjoyed fairly steady production until a decade long break from 1951 to 1961. This appears to have been a very popular razor in its time.

Our process:

The original razor is disassembled, cleaned and disinfected. Then any repairs or adjustments are made. Next, the razor is polished, outer doors, outer cap, end caps, and guard edge are mirror polished, followed by a hand polish. We then plate the razor with Nickel Plating. White Platinum or 24K Gold is plated over the Nickel for those razors plated with precious metals. Finally, the razor is reassembled and adjusted. Blade gap is checked with a blade in, between the blade and guard. Fatboy numbers are repainted and the stripe is installed (USA Made Auto Pinstriping). No warranty is implied for the paint or pinstriping. The Plating comes with a 6 month warranty to not crack, chip, wear off, flake or discolor.
