This is an incredible collection of original vintage World War II photographs from the north African theater, all having belonged to the same soldier. Some photos are also from the Italian campaign I believe. The lot includes his patches as well. Many of the photos have handwritten captions. Several combat or action photographs feature, and at least two are original snapshots featuring the deceased remains of combatants, including one of a dead Nazi soldier. I have NOT removed any items from this lot to sell individually. This is a COMPLETE collection of everything that I purchased with the lot — TRULY AMAZING AND RARE PHOTOGRAPHS.

The patches identify the soldier as affiliated with the United States Army North (Fifth United States Army) and US Army 1st Armored Division, nicknamed "Old Ironsides". The division is part of III Armored Corps and operates out of Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas. It was the first armored division of the United States' Army to see battle in World War II.

This lot was acquired as an entire collection from an estate in a town near Dallas, Texas. I do not have specific identifying information about the soldier who took these pictures, but I believe his last name may have been Mosley, since that was written on a note, card included with the items I purchased.

authenticity guaranteed! I happily offer free shipping for additional snapshots in the same cart.
