2 pounds 2 ounces of assorted sea glass (a little less than a quart bag full). Assorted pottery and glass, all different colors. The glass is mostly depression era, the pink glass has a high selenium content, the clear and purple glass has a high manganese content. These mineral additives were used in the depression era and before as colorants and clarifiers. These minerals also glow under UV light, causing the pink glass to glow pink, and the clear/purple glass to glow green. This is evidence to the age of the glass. All of the glass and pottery has been hand collected in New England from coasts and waterways. There is a wide variety of shapes and sizes in this lot.
