Old Japanese Carp-shaped cloth [鯉のぼりKoi-Nobori]
A carp pattern drawn on cloth. It is tube-shaped.
Sewn by a Sewing Machine. (NOT hand sewn)

The size is very large. 
Length : about 260cm / 102.3in.
Width : about 51cm / 20in.

Carp streamers (carp flags) are a Japanese custom that began among Samurai families during the Edo period.
In Japan, it is held around Children's Day on May 5th to celebrate the birth of a baby boy and to pray for the boy's healthy growth.

This is a very old cloth, so there are discoloration, small holes, small scratches, and stains.
