This set of Champagne Glasses were hand blown, and then decorated by glass cutting. Often mistaken as etching, these glasses are decorated by glass cutting which result in the designs being shallower on the edges and deeper in the middle (not uniform in depth). Whereas etching is done by allowing acid to dissolve glass, this results in the design having the same depth at the center as at the edge (uniform in depth).

These are very sophisticated, sleek and polished with a lovely long bulbous stem that feels so good in the hand. Each piece of glass has a detailed flowing floral pattern around the bowl as shown in the photos. These are part of my personal collection that I need to downsize. They have been China cabinet kept for years and a loved part of my collections. They measure 5 7/8 inches T x 3 7/8 inches D and hold approximately 6 ounces. Please know that estate, vintage and hand-blown pieces frequently display signs of character such as air bubbles and minor wear consistent with age. Since these are hand blown, it is not uncommon to find tiny air bubbles in the glass. Again these are hand crafted so the pattern detail and glass making might vary somewhat.
