This unique vintage porcelain vessel is an intriguing stylised fish shape with free-form colors and patterns, marking a

significant departure from Deruta's traditionally ornate detailed ceramic styles and designs. The handle forms a fish tail and there is

an ovoid shape protrusion at the base of the neck which could be representing the eye of the fish, the flaw in this assumption being

this ovoid shape is only on one side of the vessel.  The cork is quite degraded and has not been removed to avoid potential damage.

The item stands 25 cm (10 inches) high, 17 cm (6.5 inches) wide, and 8 cm (3.2 inches) deep.

Despite the condition of the cork, the porcelain itself is in very good condition and is a bold representation of great mid century Italian

break away design.  Please examine the photos carefully as they form an essential part of the description. If you have any questions
