French Louis XVI style bronze oval photo or picture desktop easel frame from circa the 1900s??

Has been retrofitted with a mirror.

This could have been a hanging frame?

Or perhaps originally a mirror and has since been replaced?

I do not have any definite provenance.

A cardboard backing has been added under back plate.

Bronze? Brass? Possibly both. This piece is HEAVY!

Approximately 8.5" tall, 6.5" wide, almost 1" thick frame. Solid metal, and again, very heavy.

Beautiful antique charm, not a cheap reproduction. With the appropriate cleaning would be stunning!
