Rare Georg Jensen Denmark Sterling Silver Green Chrysoprase # 1A Ring Sz 5

Obtained from an estate with large collection of mid century modern pieces.  This early Georg Jensen ring has a lovely floral setting encircling a glowing green chrysoprase smoothly polished oval cabochon.  This is a somewhat rare and early Jensen design for the collector, with little wear apparent. The sterling bezel has an art nouveau floral design, which was created by Georg Jensen himself.  The ring is signed Georg Jensen with the brand encircled by dots, indicating it was produced in his silversmith shop after 1945. It is marked 925 S Denmark 1A. Jensen coded his designs sequentially for the most part so this is an early ring.  The craftmanship evident in the sterling filigree is visible from both the front and back of the piece. This attention to detail and design is a hallmark of Georg Jensen's work. This is part of the Moonlight Blossom series which is a great example of the exceptionally designed and timeless pieces produced from his workshop.  

Ring is a size 5.  The presentation area measures 18mm x 16mm.  The center stone measures approximately 7.8mm by 12.3mm.  Weighs 5.3 grams.
