I am the original owner of this Univox Gimme made by Matsumoko in Japan! This is a great guitar for playing or to add to your collection.  These things gave Gibson a run for its money. Researching it on the internet I found that the pickups are the same honey-colored plastic top humbuckers that were stock in the HiFlier Phases 3-4. I am  pretty sure it was 1975 when my Dad bought it for me. This one has a special feature. It is a 2 bolt neck instead of the 4 bolt neck. The 2 bolts were shipped to retailers. They are a bit harder to find than the 4 bolt for that reason. I had my luthier go through it and do a set up on it a few months ago. He couldn't believe the quality of the true flamed top! He kept raving about how good it is. This thing plays like butter! I have the original V and T buttons. The buttons that are on there are Gibson from around 1978. The guitar is in very good condition with a minor chip and very minor scratches. There are a few minor ding on the side of the bout. As with any guitar this age, some minor dings and scratches are expected. The electronics work well. There is a little bit of fade and scratching with one of the pots. That's to be expected, they are original. I did have the selector switch replaced sometime in the early 80's. As you can see, I have the original hard shell case too. Overall, the case is in very good condition with some minor lifting of the vinyl. The hinges are intact as is the interior and the interior pocket cover is not broken or loose. I bought the guitar from the music school I was going to. I'm selling it because I play bass and it's just sitting in its case. It's time for it to go to a new home that will appreciate it and enjoy it for the quality instrument that it is. I have described the guitar to the best of my ability. I will consider any reasonable offer. Please contact me with any questions!
