Melting Crucible is mostly used for melting precious metals, such as Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper, Brass and more.
Crucible Capacity is 40 T.oz./1200 Grams, made of clay bonded high grade fused silica, long lasting "A-1 QUALITY" withstands temperatures up to 2500°F / 1371°C.
Crucible can be used with a gas melting furnace or torch melting. A superior quality crucible, made of High Grade Fused Silica, extending the life of usage of the Crucible. The wall thickness is heavier than other similar types ( 5/16" / 8mm ).
Use this crucible for melting scrap metals into Ingots as well as pouring metal in lost wax casting operations for vacuum assist castings machine.

Crucibles should be glazed with Borax prior to use, which also helps to extend the life of the crucible.
