AMEW A.T.C. is Africa Middle East Wing of USA Air Transport Command established on July 1942.  Africa-Middle East Wing, with headquarters at Accra in Britain's Gold Coast ColonyFollowing the invasion of North Africa and the extension of ATC activities into that area, the African jurisdiction was divided on 15 December 1943 into two wings: the North African and the Central African.
