You are buying an 8 X 10 B&W photo of Ralph Salyer's's No. 14 Cheetah on the banking in the 1964 American Challenge race at Daytona the day before the Continental race.  Notice the tape on the door to keep the gullwing door from opening on the banking at speed.  There were three Cheetahs entered in the race, but Jerry Grant's was destroyed in a practice accident.  The Cheetahs were originally called Thomas Chevy Coupes, and this was their maiden race.  Salyer's car held on to finish 13th overall.  This is a true 8 X 10 with no borders printed at a photolab on archival photo paper from a negative taken by Bill Brannon, a photojournalist and regional editor of Competition Press (now Autoweek) in the 1960's.  This photo has never been published before.  See my store for more auto racing photos from 1960's races at Daytona, Sebring, Road America and more.  Buyer pays $3.85 shipping in continental U.S.  Combined shipping on additional items.  Thanks for looking!
