Photographer:  Zoltan Glass (Born Hungary, 1903 - 1982) - internationally renown Anglo-Hungarian photographer who was critically acclaimed for his pre-war work in Germany covering motorsports and then post-war for his fashion and female nude imagery. Due to his Jewish roots he fled Germany at the onset of WWII, relocating to England where he would begin the second stage of his career focusing on fashion images and the female nude.

This is an authentic (NOT a modern reprint), vintage early to mid 1950's semi-glossy Photo Engraving by the internationally acclaimed photographer of the nude, Zoltan Glass. High quality offset lithography combined with a special clay coat gloss paper produced a print that was designed to closely approximate Glass's silver gelatin prints in look. Glass's distinct and extraordinary female nude studies are rare in any vintage form whether photo-chemical or photo-mechanical. Rapidly gaining popularity in today's collector market, Glass's bold, striking compositions have the capability of enhancing and accenting almost any type of interior design from contrasting against other period styles, to blending harmoniously with mid century decor.

Our scans cannot do justice to the detail and beauty of the actual print. High quality gloss offset prints are difficult to scan accurately - scanners have trouble with the ultra fine screen pattern and glossy surface, therefor diagonal or horizontal "band lines" will appear occasionally within the scans - these digital "noise lines" are not in the actual print itself.
