In December of 2006, Go Cats sent us 12 of their new product, the CAT CATCHER. We gave them out to friends who foster animals and shelters in our area. It was a hit! Many of the foster parents said the feral cats they had adjusted more quickly when they used the Cat Catcher. The cats seemed to respond better with the Cat Catcher that any other toy (Da bird was a close second for most fosters but still #1 with other fosters!)
This listing is for 5 REFILL Mice for the CAT CATCHER (can also be use for Da Bird wand). We found that the mouse that comes with the wand lasts a while, but it is always good to have a spare or two or three :) This bristled leather mouse can vary in size from 3/4 " mouse not including tail to a 1 1/4 " mouse not including tail. These mice are hand made so will vary in size with each shipment. We do not have a choice on the size mice we receive. These mice have adorable little ears and two black eyes (marker-- no beads to swallow!! ) a string loop for a nose and the tail is made imitation leather.
Since Go Cat has built their business on "kitty fishing poles", they got the idea of the Cat Catcher from some fishing lures they used. Go Cat felt kitties would love these "lures" too (without the hooks, of course!!!) and they developed the Cat Catcher! These mice sometimes do not come packaged. Your mouse will look similar to these little cuties: COLOR AND SIZE MAY VARY with each lot. These are hand made items.

When I first took my Cat Catcher out of the package, I thought " I am not sure the cats will go for this". Before I could finish my sentence, Lukie was running across the room ready to "catch the mouse"! I have to hide the refills from him when new shipments come in because he thinks they are all his!! He likes the Cat Cather more that Ollie, but as you can see from the above picture, Ollie takes some interest. Neither one can catch a real mouse to save their lives, but they love the CAT CATCHER wand!!!
We sell the wands separately in our store. You can also attach the refill mice to the Da Bird wand, although the movement isn't as quick and jittery as it is with the wire of the CAT CATCHER.
