BE CAREFUL
On the install, you could burn out the ir leds on your infrared board ring if you leave it powered on while you focus or install the new lens.
If the IR board rear contacts touch the metal on the camera or other conductive objects it can burn out those leds.
The only way to damage the led board
is by letting the rear solder joints touch metal which then grounds them
out, so if your careful & follow the youtube video instructions, & you should have no problems.
You asked, we listened on the development of a fish eye cs mount lens.
Using a 2.8mm lens on the foscam will get this degree field of views:
( 1/4" cmos = 120 degrees field of view (fov)
just look at the difference between the 2.8mm & the 8mm views, You may have the 8 or 12mm lens now which is real narrow.
I dont know why they did that to be honest with you, but thats where ragecams steps in once again and makes product better than what is was before with mods & lens changes!!
We also carry 4, & 6mm for less wide views.
