This item is for our engine rebuild kit with pistons for Chevrolet/GM marine 4.3L (262ci) V-6 engines that use a balance shaft and a carburetor; standard rotation. P/N 1682-300. Due to many variations of this engine, we strongly recommend that you message us with your engine serial number to confirm fitment.
We ask buyers to pay close attention to the included gaskets and match to your old gaskets, if possible. We ask buyers to notate piston and bearing sizes with payment or through an eBay message.
FALCON TECH NOTE: This kit includes intake gaskets for "conventional" and "Vortec" cylinder heads. The easiest way to determine if you have a Vortec-series engine is by the number of bolts used to attach the intake manifold to the cylinder heads. The Vortec engine uses a total of eight (8) bolts; while the earlier "conventional" cylinder heads use twelve (12) bolts.
This engine is used in Mercruiser, Volvo-Penta, and other marine vessels. All included parts are premium brands.
The included gasket set contains all gaskets needed for engine reassembly but may not have all accessory gaskets. Buyer may need to contact their local marine dealer for these miscellaneous gaskets. We have included images of the gasket set for your reference.
This kit contains an oil pump for a 3/4-in. diameter inlet. We strongly urge buyers to verify oil pump inlet diameter.
