Collector's Challenge Coin

Condition: Nice shape. Please see pictures.

It is 1 5/8 inches in diameter with epoxy on both sides. Version 1, used from 1999-2008. This challenge was acquired from the company which won the initial contract for the Airman coin. It has come to our attention that this die-cast is a little different due to the company running out of their initial surplus inventory. They had to purchase another die-cast to produce new surplus inventory of this version of the Airman coin.

The coin reads: "AWARDED ON THE OCCASION OF BECOMING AN AIRMAN." On the front it has the year the modern Air Force was established 1947, with the traditional Air Force Gen Hap Arnold wings, and the Air Force core values: Integrity First, Excellence In All We Do, and Service Before Self. On the flip side of this coin it has an eagle bursting through burning flames. Encircling the image are the words "ON THE OCCASION OF BECOMING AN AIRMAN" and "IN THE WORLD'S BEST AIR FORCE"

NOTE: Never personally given any of the coins. They are from either purchases of collections or from professional makers of military challenge coins. All coins are guaranteed to be in excellent condition.
