This is a complete kit for professionally replacing a pair of surrounds on the Original Advent speakers which utilize the 10 inch woofer.   Although we've been offering surround kits, as well a a full line of repair parts,  for Acoustic Research speakers for many years, We have been receiving more and more requests to provide service parts for the Advent line of speakers, prompting us to now stock and offer these surrounds.

• As Advent model nomenclature can be confusing, check the size. This is approx. 9 5/8 in. dia. edge to edge of the actual surround.
  

• Components selected specifically for the Advent speaker as shown in the photo. This is not a generic surround replacement kit. The components were selected explicitly for this speaker and have been used on these actual speakers. The Advent surround is rather unique as is it's installation.
• The kit includes; a pair of foam surrounds, a set of shims for centering the voice coil (this is really a must for this speaker, do not attempt to replace the surrounds without centering the voice coil), a container of adhesive ( It is strong, fast drying and dries clear.), and a pair of dust caps that you literally drop in place when done, along with a step-by-step set of instructions complete with actual color photos.
• If you don't buy from us, we will understand but be sure the parts have been confirmed by installation on an actual pair of Advent speakers. We sell only what we are familiar with and confident in it's performance...

Advent used a putty-like material under the lip of the woofer to achieve an air tight seal. I would suggest you order a package of our cabinet sealer in Department OTHER SPEAKER SERVICE PARTS.
