Richard Steiff made the very first teddy bear. His aunt, Margarete started the company. His daughter, Marianne Steiff Meisel, lived to be 99 years old I think. She just passed away recently. She painted to a very old age and still requested her favorite teddy bears to be re-made. Her daughter is Claire Steiff Meisel, an absolute joy to meet and converse with. She does a lot of the trunk shows around the country with the various Steiff dealers and signs our bears when we purchase them.
All Steiff bears and other animals are carefully cut, sewn, stuffed and decorated by workers at the Steiff headquarters in Germany. They use the finest of materials and take a lot of pride in their work.
This is a very difficult bear to come by. This bear was only available to Steiff collectors who have been members of their club for 20 years.The tag on his collar says "Steiff Club 20".
He is called Teddy Baby or Teddy Baby Blue.

This Steiff Teddy Baby bear has never been displayed or played with and will come to you in absolutely new condition including certificates and original box and shipper box. I will ship the entire bear with boxes inside another box as I know collectors want the shipper to be pristine as well.

I ship next business day and Saturdays when possible. Exception: If I am away on a buying trip my store will be in vacation mode and the next shipping date will be posted. International Buyers: PLEASE NOTE that your country may charge you a customs tax to receive your package. This is not something a seller can control so please know your country's policy when you purchase. The least expensive way I can ship is Priority International. This allows tracking and insurance both of which I am required or held responsible for by eBay as a Top Seller. I cannot ship First Class however I do combine shipping and charge only by weight so please keep that in mind.

Returns
30 Day Returns: 1. If you truly need to make a return PLEASE contact me as soon as possible. Often I only have one of an item and I will want to re-list it quickly. 2.
