High Thermal Resistance
Thermal resistance is important when selecting your laminate /wood underlay for use with electric underfloor heating. 
High moisture protection from an integral moisture vapour barrier making it suitable for use on both timber and concrete subfloors.High Compressive Strength
Compressive strength is measured in kilograms per square meter which expresses the weight needed for a 0.5mm deformation.
The higher the value, the more resistant the underlay is to reducing in thickness due to surface load.
This ensures both your flooring and underfloor heating stay protected over their lifetime.

Thickness and Conformity
Dense 5mm thick foam structure absorbs minor floor imperfections with minimum height increase to the overall floor level.
A floor is considered level if the deviation in height is less than 2mm over a distance of 2.5 linear meters.
Sound Insulation
Reduces noise from footsteps and dropped objects both inside the room and in rooms underneath. This makes it an excellent choice for apartments or flats.Fitting Instructions
- Ensure the floor is dry flat and level. A floor is considered level if the deviation in height is less than 2mm over a distance of 2.5 linear meters.
- Lay the first row of boards out length ways at a 90º angle to the direction of the floor installation. No adhesive is required.
- Butt the edge of the next row tightly to the first ensuring that the joints on the short sides of the boards are staggered between rows in a brick bond pattern.
- If the floor underneath is concrete, carefully tape all the joints using aluminium joint tape.
Underlay can be cut using a utility knife or sharp scissors.

Providing the floor is level any type of laminate or wood flooring that is designed to be installed as a floating floor can be used with this underlay.
Is any additional insulation required?
For the majority of installations this underlay is all that is required. For rooms with high heat loss such as those with single skin external walls or conservatories, extra insulation installed under the underlay will increase the efficiency of the system.
Can I use this underlay with other floor coverings such as tiles?
No, this type of underlay is only suitable for use with laminate and floated engineered wood floors.
