IS Mount Fork or Frame

Your brake caliper and frame/fork fixing will be either PM (Post Mount), or IS (International Standard) Mount. 

IS = 51mm (centre to centre)

PM = 74mm (centre to centre)

Most brake calipers are 74mm post mount now.
