Here we a great photo of former U.S. President Richard Nixon at RFK Stadium for opening day in 1969. The Washington Senators manager is Ted Williams. New York's manager is Ralph Houk. Baseball Commissioner Bowie Kuhn has his hand on Williams's shoulder. Bob Short, owner of the Senators, is between Nixon and Houk. The gentleman in front with the button is American League president, Joe Cronin. The man in uniform is Nixon aide Jack Brennan. The original image was captured on April 7, 1969.
