Various standard ATX Power Supply Units:

-Power output: 300 to 1000Watt. The more power the better. The computer only takes what it needs. A 400W PSU can replace a 250watt PSU.

-Voltage: Please check voltage compatibility with your country requirement. Some PSU are 230Volt only, some have a manual 110-230V switch and some are Full range (switch automatically to the correct voltage).

-Ventilation: Some PSU have an 80mm fan, some have a quieter more efficient 120mm fan. Replacing a "PSU with an 80mm fan" with a "PSU with a 120mm fan" is usually not a problem, except in slim chassis (such as 2U 19" rackmounts) where there is no room for ventilation above the PSU. The air flow remain the same, what ever the size and position of the fan.

Some PSU pictured appear to have the fan on top. When installed, the fan will actually face down (in towers) and always face the motherboard extracting hot air right from the CPU.

-On/Off switch: Some PSU have a switch but it is normally not required since the PSU is controlled by the computer. The last PSU does not have any switch to suit some PCs where the shape of the PSU cut out does not allow the presence of a switch. (Such as some Dell computers).

-Other: With noise killer, PFC, safety certifications.

-Warranty: 1 year.
