This is a beautiful antique hard back book, “Moeurs Usages et Costumes Au Moyen Age et a l’Epoque de la Renaissance”,  bound in red cloth with gilded designs, by Paul Lacroix. Published in 1873, the third edition. This book is filled with interesting text in French as well as illustrations, black and white and gilded color. 603 pages, which are gilded on the outside. There is rubbing of the corners and spine. Half the cover is off the spine, see the photos. The pages are in good condition, however. It is inscribed Sophie Witherspoon Townsend from her Papa, October 1900.
