Fully hallmarked for MOSCOW 1846

and with the maker`s mark - IM.

A very good, rectangular snuff box.

Engraved with rural scenes on front and back.

Gilded inside to protect the silver from staining

 by the snuff.

I have had it regilded because it was very

 badly stained.

Almost all of the original niello has worn off.

It has been used, and the engraving is rather

 flat, but this is reflected in the price.
