This is an interesting very large tablespoon marked A. Wilder. A friend has suggested it is 

Abbott Pierson Wilder, working Eau Claire, WI c. 1866. and we gratefully concur. 

It is engraved Blanchard, although there is no evidence it has any connection to the famous Asa. It has a nick where some idiot decided to test it.
