****Welcome to our listing, thanks very much for looking!

Eileen Farrell, queen of crossover, was the first major opera star to record popular songs. "I've Got A Right To Sing The Blues" was released at the peak of Farrell's sensational career at the Metropolitan Opera in the early 1960s. It took the musical world by storm, and has since become a collector's item. Reference Recordings persuaded Eileen Farrell to come out of retirement in 1988 and made a total of seven albums with America's favorite diva. There are songbooks by Harold Arlen, Rodgers & Hart, Johnny Mercer and Alec Wilder, a collection of classic Torch Songs, and two romantic song cycles with full orchestra arranged and conducted by Robert Farnon. "My Very Best" is the producer's selection of 14 special gems from this important series.

REFERENCE RECORDINGS is a well known audiophile label. Indeed "Professor Keith O. Johnson" has been associated with many cutting edge recording examples / techniques not only on the software side of the business, but in the hardware side as well - the highly known and respected "Spectral" brand name comes to mind immediately.

Their music software  (both CD and LP) competes with the likes of other grand audiophile labels such as; MFSL, Sheffield Lab, Wilson Audio, Opus 3, Mark Levinson, Proprius, etc..

Many of the company's issues have been associated with sonic spectaculars, more specifically, with The Absolute Sound (TAS) magazine, or as it's known in audiophile circles "HP's Super Disc List" (Harry Pearson) as is this title - "The Absolute Sound Super Disc List"!

If you haven't done so already, give a few of the Reference Recording titles a spin, you won't be sorry!
