Antique early 19th century porcelain tea cup and saucer decorated with expertly painted pink rose garlands enhanced by rich gilding. The shape of this cup & saucer is interesting and similar to the Egyptian revival shapes used by Vienna and Wedgwood.  The pink roses are reminiscent of English Regency porcelains like Swansea or Coalport.  The cup bears a script S mark I have identified possibly as the German factory Schlaggenwald.  A beautiful piece in good condition - the saucer has a small rim chip - see photos.  Saucer measures 4 3/4" across; cup measures 4" across over handle x 1 3/4" tall.
