You will receive (12) Unrooted ~Cuttings~ Leaf of Mature Healthy Epiphyllum Hookeri Strictum, Night Blooming cactus succulents about 7" inches long. You will receive No-Root (un-root), No Flowers, No Blooms, but ~Cutting of a Leaf~ similar to photo #2. 

Photos are for reference only, we will send out healthy mature cuttings of a leaf about 8" long. Since this a cut fresh upon order, we cannot provide a photo of exactly which one that will be sent out, we will select the best healthy cutting. You will be pleased with the quality of this plant, so buy with confidence.

We cannot guarantee how much you will be able to grow, as too many variables come into play, soil condition, ability to garden, weather etc. We guarantee that they arrive as described and are in good viable condition and the planting/rooting rates are accurate. Because we are not there to plant them, we cannot be responsible for rooting failure due to improper planting or climate conditions. Please do your homework first. Most people, following proper directions, should be able to root easily without much trouble.

Plant Description: Hookeri is a jungle cactus, hardy in most area, tolerate most weather, except frost, freeze, and too hot. Has thin and long strong leaves. Easy to grow and fast-growing plant, a leaf can get really long if no trim. Can be grown Indoor or Outdoor, in pots, hanging baskets. During the growing season, this plant prefers semi-shade, filter sun, under shade no direct sunlight. Hookeri is super easy to root, grows in any dirt even just in a wet paper town or newspaper. You can also root the cuttings in water. Just research the internet.

The shape of a plant is flat, NIGHT BLOOMER, slightly fragrant. The Epiphyllum Hookeri Strictum produces (White) large flowers that bloom only at night. Blooms open around 10:00 pm and last until 9:00 am the next morning, in some area, the blooms stay open until 12 noon. The plant needs humidity to encourage sturdy growth and flowering. Mother Tree Blooms/Flowers start during Spring throughout Fall September/November in some area. Blooms several times a year during growing season. A flower is approx. 7" wide.

Cutting of a leaf is Healthy from a mature tree. You will be pleased with the quality of our product, so buy with confidence.

Planting Cutting In Ground: Make sure the end of cutting is dry before planting. Choose the location. Just simply dig a hole about 2" to 3", insert cutting side in and cover back up with soil and add water. Plant the plant in either partial sun or shade area. Keep checking to make sure not to over water or let it go bone dry. This variety roots fast.

Basic Rooting Cutting Instruction In Pot: Be sure the end of cutting is dry before planting. Start by using 4" pot for 1 cutting more cuttings use bigger pot. Fill pot with soil, deep the end of cuttings with rooting hormone, place in soil then cover back up. Water the pot completely. Leave it outdoor in shade area, no direct sunlight or indoor with sunlight through a window is best or inside the greenhouse. Water only once, after that if the soil gets dry mist water only to avoid rotten. Throughout the growing season rooting process could take between 2-4 weeks also depending on location, soil condition, you should start to see new growth, then water with slight fertilizer. Rooting process needs a lot of heat/humid to develop roots. Winter rooting process takes longer. We suggest to root your plant indoor leave your plant by a window with sunlight shine through is the best location or inside the greenhouse.

Soil: Use a loose well-draining soil blend mix. Parts, Cactus Soil, Perlite, Potting Soil Miracle-Gro. 50% Miracle-Gro potting soil, 50% Cactus mix soil, 20% - 30% Perlite or You may use soil method that will work for you to root the cutting.

Weather Plant Care: Shade or filtered sun – no direct sunlight and no frost or freeze. Protect from too much rainwater. Hardiness: 30F. Protect the plant if it's below 30F. Protect from very hot weather like above 90F. This plant is sensitive to very hot or too cold. 

Water Usage: On established plants, watering is light. Water when the soil is dry, we only water once a week on mature plants during summer time or as needed, less water during winter or no water.

Fertilizer: On established plants. Use Miracle-Gro All-purpose throughout growing season or use your own method that will work for you.

Package: Please plan accordingly. We pack the plant as best to stay secure and safe, once it gets to your place, do not leave the package at the mailbox or outside in your front porch. Please be sure to unbox/open immediately after arrival at your destination. During traveling and staying inside the box too long plant can develop some sort of disease or get stress. Be aware that some slight damage, some wilting is possible during the travel. We recycle packaging materials for the safety of the plants.
