Pre WWII US Navy USS Saratoga Aircraft Carrier Off New York Silver Halide Photo

This is a new, silver halide, photograph.   All photographs are processed at a professional photo lab and have standard white borders unless otherwise stated.  We DO NOT sell desktop printer, discount chain or kiosk processed  photos.

Here we have a photo of the U.S.S. Saratoga near New York City on May 31, 1934. One of Saratoga´s two flush-deck destroyer plane guards can be seen in the upper left of the image. The aircraft were preparing to take off for a review by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, FDR, who was viewing from the USS Indianapolis. The Saratoga was one of 90 ships which participated in the review, led by the battleship USS Pennsylvania (BB-38) flying the 4-star flag of Admiral Sellers.
