 If you're looking to scale the world's toughest and tallest peaks, make sure your feet are protected properly from the elements with the Gore-Tex Gaiter from The North Face, the alpinist’s gaiter of choice for breathable, sleek, lower leg protection. The upper is made from Gore-Tex 3-layer fabric while the bottom is made from incredibly durable ballistic nylon that can really take a beating. A gaiter keeps rogue snow and water out of boots keeping feet dry and protects climbing pants against crampon scuffs and punctures. Expedition proven and athlete tested, this waterproof gaiter is designed and constructed to fit securely, resist abrasion in high wear areas and conform to the leg profile with a tapered ankle cut. The hook-and-loop closure runs all the way up the center so taking these on and off is a breeze. A wide-based tough Hypalon® underfoot strap with roller buckle hardware keeps the gaiter in place and is aided by a rear elastic cuff and downward facing dual Velcro® toe closures so the gaiter can’t ride up or twist. The toe hook at the laces makes sure they stay securely in place, even when you're cramponing yourself high on the side of a remote peak.
