Liquid wax for treadmill belt lubricant.

Application:- Simply lift the running belt ( when the machine is turned off ) couple of squirts underneath the belt, along the length either side then turn the machine on and use for a minute to bed the wax into the belt. If the machine is only being used once a day lubricate the belt about once every month, high usage facilities ( commercial environment ) applicate every 2 weeks. Why lubricate :- Prolongs the life of the running deck and belt which reduces component failure. Some Treadmill and Belt Manufacturers label their products with Sales Specific "Pre-Lubed","Waxless" or "Maintenance Free" running belt. This is basically where an application of wax, silicone oil lubricant etc has been pre-applied onto the surface of the deck or underside of the treadmill belt. However, this application won't last long! Depending on the hourly usage the machine tolerates, this pre-lubricant can degrade and wear prematurely contributing to additional friction between the underside of the belt and surface of the Treadmill deck. This in turn can create Deck and Belt wear but more importantly also cause "amp draw" which will often result in unnecessary Motor failure as well as Motor Control Board (MCB) damage.
Please note :- All Life fitness treadmills use wax lubrication.
Always consult the manufacturers manual for which type of lubrication required silicone or wax. If in doubt google your machine type or contact the manufacturer.
