  • Ansco 1894 patent wood Box camera


  • MECHANICALLY:  Over 100+ years old, very old design Ansco in leather handle very hard to read. Constructed of leather over dove tail wood, meniscus lenses, working sector shutter, cleaned lenses inside out; using Kodak 101 9x9cm film size or 3.5"x3.5".  over four hours to identify this Box camera. Has the bat wing brass hinge in back. Back door opens, Front D ring MUST be pulled up and Held up while the wooden center assembly with lens pulled out. Really old build design in great shape for this age of Box camera. Made by Anthony & Scovill under there new name of Ansco.

  • OPTICALLY:  Highly collectible, impossible to find, harder to identify, in great shape for its 100+ years.

  • NOTE: Black Tin bezel missing off reflex viewer top, otherwise exact.
