Outer Trousers: Rukka Gore-Tex Pro Shell
The outer of the Rukka ARMAS jeans is a 3 Layer laminate.
Layer 1: Armacor
A tough mix of Cordura and Kevlar. Every fourth strand of thread in the outer material is Kevlar®, known for it's anti-tear properties. This is complimented by Cordura's abrasion resistance and a water repellent coating. The result is an extremely tough outer shell that remains comfortable.
The Rukka Armas trousers also feature Gore-Tex Superfabric overlays on the knees, providing further abrasion resistance as well as helping to reduce heat generated by friction against road surfaces being transferred to the fabric beneath.
Layer 2:Gore-Tex®
100% Waterproof - Even under high pressures the water drops cannot penetrate the membrane. Your body remains dry.
100% Wind proof - The wind is caught in the structure of the membrane. You stay warm.
Breathable - Body moisture escapes through the membrane.
Layer 3: Lining
A breathable comfort lining is bonded to the Gore-Tex® membrane to provide comfort and protect the Gore-Tex® from wear and tear.
The outside of the jeans features TFL COOL BLACK handling, which reduces the surface temperature of black Cordura significantly when exposed to sun radiation, which makes the trousers cooler on sunny days and reduces ageing.
The end result is outer trousers that are abrasion and tear resistant as well as waterproof, wind proof and breathable providing lasting protection against variable weather elements, from warm weather to torrential rain.
Inner Trousers
The ARMAS trousers have a breathable mesh lining and a detachable 60g thermal lining which features Outlast® technology.
Outlast®
The lining of the Rukka Armas trousers incorporates Outlast® technology, which continuously interacts with the unique micro-climate of the human body and the environment to moderate temperature from being too hot or too cold to being just right.
The human body naturally sweats to cool the skin, reducing the ability of clothing, footwear and bedding to keep the body dry and comfortable. Outlast® technology, conversely, will keep individuals comfortable by absorbing body heat when too much is created, thereby diminishing the amount of moisture. Outlast® materials balance your temperature through the use of patented micro-encapsulated Thermocules™ that absorb and store excess heat, releasing it when you need it most.
In 2005, Outlast® technology was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame for successfully transforming technology originally developed for space exploration into products that help improve the quality of life here on Earth - Outlast® technology was originally developed for NASA for use in gloves and other apparel applications such as pants and socks to buffer and moderate the temperature found in space and very high altitude.

Armour
Rukka Air Protector armour is designed with breath-ability in mind and passes CE approval. Knee and hip protectors are all larger than competitors armour, with the intention of covering the area even in the outer garment moves.
Machine Washable
Rukka ARMAS jackets and trousers are machine washable. Machine wash on fine wash programme at 30-40°C with normal fine washing powder without soft rinse agent. Rinse thoroughly. Put only one garment at a time in the machine. Remove protectors before washing. Iron at low temperature (no. 1 setting), but not the reflective areas. Do not dry clean,tumble dry at low temperature (max 55°C) one item at time (This also restores the outer water repellency).
