Here is a rare and fine specimen of Andradite garnet var. Topazolite from Antetezambato, near the town of Nosy Faly, Ambanja District, Diana Region, Antsiranana Province, Madagascar. These specimen were found by chance in a Mangrove forest in 2009 and became instant classics. The deposits have long since been mined out and these specimens appear on the market very sporadically. This is a fine example of the rare Topazolite variety of garnet that was found with the more common green Demantoid varietal. This specimen features lustrous trapezohedral crystals with an amber brown coloration richly coating a calciferous matrix. Several of the crystals have gemmy areas with a high degree of internal clarity. At the base of the specimen some of the crystals appear to have a mix of green and brown coloration characteristic of both garnet varietals! The specimen is in very good condition save for some contacting at the edges and base, which may be a mix of natural fractures and contacts from matrix removal. Don’t miss out on this very rare and fine example of Topazolite that many consider the world-class standard for the species! Good luck!!

DOMESTIC SHIPPING: We ship USPS First Class (smaller items up to 13 oz. total package weight) and Priority Mail. We will be happy to combine shipping for multiple wins within a 7-day period. All packages will have USPS Delivery Confirmation/Tracking included in the cost so that we can ensure the package is delivered to the address provided.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: We ship by USPS Priority Mail International and / or First Class Mail International.
