Description:

London: Luke Hinde, 1753.

Very Good. 1st Edition. Complete in two volumes.

Foolscap folio-sized books, in a recent full calf leather binding with red labels and gilt titles to the spines.

New endpapers, but the original fly leaves have been retained.

Near-contemporary inscription: “Robert Foster” to the top of the title page and various annotation, marginalia to both volumes in ink and pencil and one page of handwritten text bound in to the volume.

Bindings are in very good condition, with some wear and rubbing, and are well suited for the secure handling of such large books.

Internally the pages are age-toned but clean, and the bindings are tight. lv, 767; 638pp, [10] pages.

This is a very heavy set and so will incur extra overseas postage.
