If you are a collector of antique watch chains this is a wonderful piece still with the key attached.  Conversely this could be played around with by adding chain and turning it into a stunning necklace or perhaps a choker. I can only find one loop stamped - it is the one that is attached to the round knob that the larger loop that the key and the other tassle hang from. - this makes it part of the original it cannot have been added at a later stage.  One side of this has the two heads for the French silver mark and the other has BAUDET in a diamond with the trademark donkey.  This has taken me ages to find and work it out.  There are inserts of agate { I think it is agate, it is the sort that could be engraved into to show the colour underneath} on three of the fancy pieces and this still has the original key which does wind out a little way - enough to wind a pocket watch chain.  The total length of this is approx'y 31.5cm and from the end of the hook to the middle of the loop from which the key and the tassle come from is approx'y 27cm  Please see all 12 photographs for as part of the description In very good antique condition, there is some wear to the agates as it has been worn but nothing major. and I have not cleaned it, I am leaving it as found. { apart from having to clean the marks to make them out} The catch is working well with the spring firm.  This weighs approx'y 49gm. This is a superb example of a watch chain and would make a wonderful addition to any collection. The last two photographs -11 and 12 show the marks.
