Cine-Kodak 8mm Movie Camera 1940's 1950's Art Deco GVC Magazine 8 Camera Vintage

A beautiful camera with its original leather case both are very nice looking and in good vintage condition. Please view all photos as this is a very nice piece just not 100%.This is old and due to age there is some dust and dirt and other miscellaneous kinds of crud, also note the brass snaps have the classic green corrosion and related to that corrosion was an interaction with the chemicals used to tan the leather which produced some strange green goo. I've cleaned most of the goo and corrosion, still some remains, also one snap has broken.

This camera was introduced in 1946 and produced until 1955. Is was not a cheap item and is very well made. Back in the day it was $175.00 that was 70 years ago, in today's dollars we're talking 1,700 to 1,800 dollars! That's crazy money, you could buy a beater car with kind of jack.
I've not fully tested this camera but it winds up and the motor turns and as said before a beautiful item that came from a large collection of cameras I bought from the estate of an avid camera collector.
Last thing, that knot in the strap was that way when I bought the lot and I've chosen to leave as is, how long has that knot been there is a mystery.

Size is about 6'' X 5'' X 2'' and weight is a solid and hefty 2 lbs. 14 oz.

Thanks for looking.
