Product Description
Our Crocheted Synthetic Dreadlocks form our premium synthetic range! They look just like real dreadlocks, require little to no maintenance, can be braided in our used to lengthen existing dreadlocks and they are the softest, most flexible type of synthetic dreadlock available.
INCLUSIONS: 5 Extensions which will give you 10 dreadlocks when folded
SIZE: 100cm long unfolded or 50cm/20inches long when folded. These are handmade so there are slight variances in thickness and on average, run between 8-9mms in thickness.
These can be cut shorter if required. These extensions can be shortened by cutting them to length or they can be joined together to increase the length.
COLOUR: Choose a colour from the drop down box. If you select Blend, please leave a comment with which colours you want and how many of each.

Installation - Extending Existing Dreadlocks
Cut the extension to the desired length and comb fan out the top of the extension. You need about 3-5cm's of fanned out, undreaded hair. Nestle the end of your own dreadlock into the fanned out section and smooth the extension hair down to create an overlap. Now you can either stitch the join using needle and thread or use a Dreading Crochet Hook to create a join.
Installation - Braiding Into Undreaded Hair
The extensions are installed by taking a section of your own hair. Place the half way point of the dread into the middle of this section. Now split the bundle of your own hair in two and using the extension as the third piece, braid it in place and secure it with a rubber band or thread. We strongly recommend you use our Heavy Duty Pro Elastic.

The look: These extensions look and feel exactly like real, natural dreadlocks because they are 100% crocheted. We also have crocheted extensions available in a Human Hair version. To look at, it is difficult to distinguish between Human Hair and Synthetic extensions. The major bonus of human hair is that it can be dyed / coloured.
I want to braid them in to my undreaded hair, how many do I need? As they are braided into sections of your own hair which are usually 2-3cm's squared at the scalp, how many you need really depends on how big your head is. On average 50 - 80 dreads (25-40 extensions) is about right.
Care: Our extensions will last indefinitely and they can get wet and be shampooed as normal.
Returns Information
The Dread Shop is happy to offer a replacement or refund for any unopened items that arrive damaged or defective. We also appreciate that it is difficult to judge the true colour on a monitor so we also welcome exchanges if you are unhappy with the colour. If you would like a recommendation on what colour would best match your hair, you are also welcome to message us with a photo of your hair.
Please initiate a return or refund by contacting us within 7 days of receiving your order and we will then provide you with further instructions.
We require the item to then be returned within 21 days from the date the order was made.
