This is an adapter for a 6 inch wide glass diffuser (measure the top diameter across the diffuser or glass bowl) so that you can add a regular everyday washer mount shade to your floor or table lamp. Very simple to use.Thought that glass bowl was the shade? Wrong! These lamps had shades, the glass is simply a light diffuser. You can take an old plain looking floor lamp and with the correct parts in place you can make it the centerpiece of the room. Have regular bulbs in the 3 arm candelabra? Shame on you, I have the flame shaped bulbs that go there plus I stock the original style dripping candle covers for those sockets. The adapter set consists of a steel ring that goes on top of the opal or milk glass diffuser, and two 2 inch solid brass risers and 1 one inch riser, plus a solid brass finial for the top.You can combine the 3 risers in any fashion so that you can have a height of 1 to 5 inches above the shade ring on the diffuser. I have been out of these for some time. Finally got the rings made again. The ring is raw unpainted steel. Feel welcome to ask questions.
