Hello!

Up for sale is a really rare and amazing amp by PEAVEY....Backstage 50.

This is why Peavey has been around such a long time...and they sure knew how to make amps back in the 70's and 80's.

Many great sounds can be had from this box....the clean is pretty dark like many Peavey amps, especially from this era.  Particularly if you are a jazz player...you can get those nice, round bassy tones that sound like butter!  And if you like a little more prescence in your sound, there is a bright switch that makes your sound pop out just enough without sounding like an ice pick.....most pleasing!  Nice feature set includes high and low gain inputs. Two channels total...in addition to clean, there is dirty, called the lead gain channel. Has post control for your volume. Also has a saturation knob so you can control your drive....you can go from crunchy overdrive all the way to some nice JCM type cranked distortion for heavier styles. (Sounds great with my Schecter Synyster Gates Standard and my upgraded Epiphone Les Paul Jr, both for sale here on ebay....does that Les Paul into Marshall sound real well !)
Combine these controls with the parametric EQ and you have a super wide range of sounds you can coax out of this unit.....classic rock, country, soft rock, hard rock.  And it takes pedals well, so you can also add your favorite distortion pedal if you are a Heavy Metal Player ! And this amp puts out some great volume for a pretty compact box.  There is plenty of room for the speaker in the cab, giving the sound a more open space to disperse.

With the exception of the footswitch input on the back, all controls and other inputs, including the headphone out are on the front of this amp.  With the effects loop in front, it makes this unit a really functional and useful box! Onboard reverb works and sounds excellent....a terrific touch to round out this amazing sleeper of an amp!

See what ebayer Lee has to say about this amp:
"Don't forget to mention that in the high output jack with the clean channel on with the bright switch engaged and the volume maxed out, a player can use old school volume roll off in a live situation to get vey nice tube-like crunch, similar to a non-master volume tube amp.
Plus they take pedals well and have an effects loop to boot.
The amp is like a pocket rocket."

I couldn't have said it that well, Lee !

This classic amp is in such great shape for a decades old amp.  The "Peavey" logo that many players salivate over is intact and doesn't seem to be damaged.

Amp is in very good condition! Comes to the lucky buyer nice and clean and shiny !

Thanks for looking and buy it now!!!!!
