Lightweight and comfortable, one of the best designed rosaries ever made. The rosary features 33 round brown beads, size 8mm, threaded on a black cord. "Jerusalem" is stamped on the cross pendant.
The beads are smooth and slide nicely through the fingers on a sturdy cord. The rosary has the pleasing fragrance of the antique olive trees, and when warmed in the hand the scent wafts.... The rosary ages nicely with time, the more it is used.
Crafted of ancient olive woods from the hills near Jerusalem and Bethlehem in the Holy Land, where olive trees have been growing since the time of Christ. The beads are made from annual trimmings of the Trees. Skilled olive wood carving is an ancient biblical tradition that continues in Israel to the present day. The word Rosary means "Crown of Roses". Our Lady has revealed to several people that each time they say a Hail Mary they are giving her a beautiful rose and that each complete Rosary makes her a crown of roses. The rose is the queen of flowers, and so the Rosary is the rose of all devotions and it is therefore the most important one.
The Holy Rosary is considered a perfect prayer because within it lies the awesome story of our salvation.
